Not Your Average Home Services Company

Who We Are

Veteran Owned & Operated

We're a small, local company. When you call HMS, you're talking to the people who will actually be at your house, not a call center three states away.

Every job runs the same way. We explain what's wrong, lay out your options with prices, and only then pick up a tool. If it turns out you don't need the expensive fix, we'll tell you that too.

We've been keeping Denton County homes comfortable since 2015, and most of our work still comes from neighbors telling neighbors. We'd like to earn that from you.

Sincerely,

Gary Hays

Founder, HMS Heating & Air Conditioning

Integrity

We explain what's wrong, lay out your options with prices, and only then pick up a tool. No surprise costs at the end.

Thoroughness

Static pressure checks and heat load math before we size a system, and a job site left cleaner than we found it.

Straight Answers

We'd rather show you how your system works than sell you something you don't need. If a repair will hold, we'll say so.

Our Story

A Family Run Business

HMS has been family run since Gary founded it in 2015, right after his third child was born, and it has stayed small on purpose. There's no regional office setting quotas and no call center standing between you and the person doing the work.

That shows up in the small things. We wipe our feet, put drop cloths down, haul off the old equipment, and leave your house the way we found it. Nobody here earns more by selling you a system you didn't need.

It also means we're easy to find later. This is home. We're not moving on to the next market, and the people who call us are the same neighbors we run into around town.

How It Works

Our 4 Step Process

From the first phone call to the last check, here is exactly what happens when HMS comes out.

Book a Visit
  1. Step 1: Booking the Visit

Call or send us a message and tell us what the system is doing. We get you on the schedule, let you know who is coming out, and ask enough questions up front that the truck shows up with the right parts on it.

  2. Step 2: Diagnosis On Site

We test before we guess. That means checking airflow and static pressure, going through the electrical side, and finding the actual cause instead of stopping at the first symptom.

  3. Step 3: Options and Pricing

You get the problem explained in plain language, your options laid out, and the price of each one before anything happens. Nothing gets ordered or installed until you tell us to go ahead.

  4. Step 4: The Work and the Cleanup

We make the repair or complete the install, then verify the system is running the way it should before we pack up. Old equipment and debris leave with us.

“David with HMS was quick to respond to my water heater. He was very friendly and provided a reasonable price for new equipment and installation. I've used HMS in the past for my AC needs and will definitely use them again for any plumbing needs.”
