Work Out the Scope
One slow fixture is a local clog. Several backing up at once usually means the main line, and that changes the approach entirely.

Call, text, or message us. Sewage backing up into the house is treated as urgent, not as a next week appointment.

Find the Access
Cleanouts, traps, and where the line runs. Getting to the right access point is what lets us clear the pipe rather than just poke at it.

Clear the Line
Cabling or hydro jetting depending on what is in there. Grease and soap need different treatment than roots or a foreign object.

If the line has a belly, a break, or root intrusion, clearing it is temporary. You should know that rather than find out in a month.

Signs You Have A Drain Problem
Water draining slowly. The early stage of every clog. A sink that takes a minute to empty is telling you the pipe is narrowing, and it is far easier to clear now.
Gurgling from drains. Air being pulled through standing water somewhere in the system. It often means the blockage is further down the line than the fixture you noticed.
Several fixtures at once. Two or more drains backing up together points at the main line rather than any individual trap. That is a different and more urgent job.
The same drain, over and over. A drain that clogs repeatedly has a cause: a belly in the line, roots, or a fitting that was never right. Clearing it again will not change that.
Smells coming up. Sewer odour usually means a dry trap or a venting problem rather than a clog, and it is worth diagnosing rather than pouring chemicals at it.

Drain Cleaning Questions, Answered
Should I try a chemical drain cleaner first?
We would rather you did not. They often fail on a full blockage, they sit in the pipe, and they are hard on older pipework and on whoever opens the line afterwards. A plunger and a bit of patience are fine to try. Beyond that, call.
Why does the same drain keep clogging?
Because clearing a clog and fixing the cause are two different things. A line with a belly in it, root intrusion, or a fitting installed at the wrong angle will collect debris again and again. If your drain is on a schedule, it is worth finding out why.
Several drains are backing up at once. What does that mean?
That the blockage is in the main line rather than any single fixture, and it needs attention promptly. When wastewater has nowhere to go it comes back up at the lowest fixture in the house, which is usually a tub or a floor drain.
What is hydro jetting and do I need it?
High pressure water that scours build-up off the inside of the pipe rather than boring a channel through it. It is the better choice for grease-coated kitchen lines and heavy build-up. For a simple hair clog in a tub it would be overkill.
Can tree roots really get into my pipes?
Yes, and on older properties out on acreage it is common. Roots find joints and small cracks, then grow toward the water. Clearing them buys time, but a line with recurring root intrusion eventually needs repair.
