Signs Your AC Needs Repair
Air is blowing but it is warm. The blower works, so the problem is on the cooling side: low refrigerant from a leak, a failed capacitor, or a contactor not pulling the compressor in.
The outdoor unit will not start. Often a capacitor, a contactor, or a tripped breaker. Sometimes it is the float switch on the drain pan telling you about a clogged condensate line.
It runs constantly and never satisfies. Undersized airflow, a dirty coil, or a refrigerant charge problem all make the system run without ever reaching the setting.
Water where it should not be. A wet ceiling or standing water in the drain pan means the condensate line is blocked. That one gets expensive if you wait.
New noises or a burning smell. Grinding, buzzing, and electrical smells all point at specific failures. Shut it down and call rather than running it and hoping.

AC Repair Questions, Answered
My AC is blowing warm air. What is wrong?
The blower is working, so the fault is on the cooling side. The usual suspects are a failed run capacitor, a contactor that is not engaging the compressor, or low refrigerant from a leak. Check that the outdoor unit is actually running and that the breaker has not tripped, then call.
Why does my AC freeze up?
A frozen evaporator coil almost always means either not enough air across the coil or not enough refrigerant in the system. A filthy filter, a closed-off return, or a leak will all do it. Freezing is the symptom, so turn the system to fan only to thaw it and get the actual cause diagnosed.
Should I just add refrigerant every year?
No. Refrigerant is not consumed, it circulates in a sealed system. If it is low, there is a leak. Topping it up annually means paying for the same repair over and over without ever fixing it.
Do you offer emergency AC repair?

Is it worth repairing an older air conditioner?
It depends on the age, the repair, and how many repairs it has already needed. A twelve year old system needing one part is worth fixing. A twenty year old system on its third repair of the season usually is not, and we will show you the numbers on both paths.
