Tioga is small and it is a fair drive from most of the big HVAC outfits, which is exactly why people here end up waiting three days for someone to show up. We are not one of those companies. HMS Heating & Air Conditioning runs north out of Krugerville and Tioga is part of the regular route, not an exception we grudgingly make.
Out here the houses tend to sit on land, which means long duct runs to the far end of the house, equipment that has often been in service well past its expected life, and propane instead of a gas main on plenty of properties. Gary Hays started this company in 2015 and we plan rural calls accordingly, bringing more on the truck so one missing part does not cost you another day.

Emergencies get answered. Regular hours are 8am to 5pm, and a rural house with no heat in a hard freeze is exactly the call we keep the phone on for.

No. Tioga is part of our regular coverage and we run north on a normal basis. If you are well outside town on a county road, call and we will confirm before you plan around it, but the answer is usually yes.
How long will it take to get somebody out here?
Longer than a call in Krugerville, shorter than the three day wait people around here are used to. We will give you a real window when you call rather than an optimistic one we cannot hold.
We heat with propane. Is that a problem?
Not at all, it is normal out here. Propane furnaces need different gas pressure and orifices than natural gas equipment, and we service and install them accordingly.
The bedroom on the far end never gets warm. What is wrong?
Duct length is the usual culprit on a rural floor plan. Air has to travel a long way, and any leak, sag, or crushed section on the route costs you at the last register. It reads like a weak furnace but it is an airflow problem, and it is measurable.
Will you work on equipment that is really old?
Yes, and we will tell you honestly where it stands. Some old units have years left. Some have parts that are no longer made, and in that case we say so plainly instead of stringing out repairs.
Is there financing for a new system?

What should I look at before calling?
