Lake Houses, Remodels, and New Builds on the Peninsula
Just a Short Drive Away
Serving Lakewood Village for 10+ Years
Lakewood Village sits on its own stretch of shoreline on Lewisville Lake, reached through Little Elm, and it feels apart from the suburbs around it. Some homes started as weekend lake houses decades ago and have since been expanded and remodeled. Others are new custom builds on the larger lots. The mix means a modern system in one house and a decades old one patched together in the next.
Remodels are where we find the most trouble. When a house grows, the HVAC often does not grow with it, and new rooms end up on ducts that were already doing all they could. Add humid air coming off the water, and comfort becomes a real project. We drive down from Krugerville, roughly twenty minutes away. HMS Heating & Air Conditioning has been in business since 2015.

Great company. Highly recommend. Gary and Andrew have helped us out in a pinch several times. They are fairly priced, prompt, don't push extras, and have great communication.
Service techs were on-site within three hours of my call for assistance. The repair price was in line with regional standards, and the technicians were very helpful and nice to deal with. Would recommend this HVAC company for systems and repair.
Andrew Boydston and his helper were great. They were both extremely polite. We highly recommend them. We are planning on using your company as our AC and Heating service provider.
Andrew and Nate were very professional, honest, & thorough.. They took their time making sure they diagnosed the problem correctly, within a few hours our heating system was running..
I had an urgent need for my system to be checked due to concerns of carbon monoxide. They were at my house within 30 minutes. I was so grateful they were there when I needed them!

Frequently Asked
Questions
What Lakewood Village homeowners ask us about remodels, lake humidity, and older lake houses.
Still not sure, call our team (940) 222-9313Do you travel to Lakewood Village?
Yes. The drive through Little Elm takes us about twenty minutes from Krugerville, and we schedule there regularly.
We added on to our house. Do we need a bigger system?
Maybe, but not always. Sometimes the existing system has room to spare and only the ducts need work. Other times the addition is better served by its own mini split. A load check answers that before you spend money.
Why does the sunroom get so hot?
Glass rooms gain a lot of heat, and they are often on the far end of the duct run. A dedicated ductless unit is usually the most effective fix and leaves the rest of the house alone.
Is lake humidity hard on an AC?
It adds work. Moist air takes longer to cool and dry, so a system that is undersized, oversized, or low on refrigerant shows it quickly here. Regular maintenance and the right fan settings make a big difference.
Can you replace fixtures during a kitchen or bath remodel?
Yes. We install faucets, sinks, and disposals and handle the supply and drain work that goes with them, so the plumbing is right before the counters go back on.
Is there financing for a new HVAC system?
There is. Our financing partner takes applications online and responds quickly, and approved projects are scheduled right away. See the financing page.
The AC is blowing but the air is not cold. What can I check?
Change the filter if it is dirty, confirm the thermostat says cool, and see whether the outdoor fan is spinning. If the outdoor unit is running but the air stays warm, it is time to call (940) 222-9313.
