Tall Trees, Lake Air, and Houses Built One at a Time
Just a 15-Min Drive Away
Serving Shady Shores for 10+ Years
Shady Shores earns its name. The town sits on the northwest shore of Lewisville Lake, and big oaks and cedars shade most lots. Houses here were built one at a time over several decades rather than all at once by a builder, so no two systems are alike and many have been added onto, patched, or partly replaced along the way.
The trees and the lake both work on HVAC equipment. Leaves and cottonwood clog condenser coils, roots find their way into drain lines, and the humid air off the water makes an AC work harder to keep a house comfortable. We come from Krugerville, around fifteen minutes north. HMS Heating & Air Conditioning has been in business since 2015.

No surprises on the bill. Custom homes come with custom problems, and you will know the cost and the reason for every repair before it starts.
A quick trip down the road. We keep regular hours from 8am to 5pm and take emergency calls 24/7. A cold house in a January storm gets a call back.
Old equipment and new. From a thirty year old furnace to a new variable speed system, we service Trane, Carrier, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, Amana, American Standard, and Daikin.
Lake folks talk. Shady Shores is small, and most of our work there comes from neighbors. See what people wrote on the reviews page.

Nate was great. Inspected our 1 year old HVAC system, cleaned the external unit. They have a very affordable maintenance plan that include twice annual checks and cleaning. Thanks, HMS!
Our AC went out over the weekend and a neighbor recommended HMS. I gave them a call on Sunday and they showed up within the hour! They fixed the problem right away and the price was super fair. Honest, fast, and reliable…
HMS was recommend by a neighbor. This is the second time we've used them and both times we have been incredibly happy. They are friendly, professional, and honest with the work and prices.
HMS work was excellent. They took the time to determine where my house's problems were and fixed them. So much so that before their work my house was listed by my energy company as much worse than the average but now ranks…
These guys were on time and made things happen during the ice storm. Stayed till the job was done and restored my heat. I highly recommend!

Frequently Asked
Questions
What Shady Shores homeowners ask us about trees, lake humidity, and one of a kind houses.
Still not sure, call our team (940) 222-9313Do you come out to Shady Shores?
Yes. It is about fifteen minutes from our shop in Krugerville, and we are in the area often. Call with your address and we will give you a time window.
How often should the outdoor coil be cleaned under all these trees?
Once a year at minimum, and twice if cottonwood or leaves pile up against the unit. A coil packed with debris makes the system run longer and can overheat the compressor.
The house feels damp even when it is cool. Why?
An oversized AC cools fast and shuts off before it pulls the moisture out, and lake air makes that worse. We look at the system size, the fan settings, and the run time, and can talk about dehumidification if needed.
An addition on our house never gets comfortable. Can that be fixed?
Often the addition was tied into ductwork that was already at its limit. A ductless mini split is a clean fix for many of these rooms, and we will check whether duct changes would work first.
Tree roots keep backing up our drain. What can you do?
We clear the roots mechanically and can tell you where the line is giving trouble. If the pipe is cracked or broken, we explain the repair options before any digging.
Can we pay for a new system over time?
Yes. You can apply with our financing partner online and get a quick answer, and approved work is scheduled without delay. The financing page has the link.
My heat is out. What should I look at before calling?
Check that the thermostat is on heat and set above room temperature, the filter is clean, and the furnace breaker or switch is on. If you smell gas, leave the house and call the gas company first. Otherwise call (940) 222-9313.
