Ponder is a small town west of Denton, surrounded by open pasture that has slowly been turning into new neighborhoods. Many of the newer homes are all electric with heat pumps, while the older homes and rural properties around town run a mix of propane, gas, and electric heat.
Open land brings its own wear. Wind carries dust and grass into outdoor units and filters, so coils and filters clog faster than they do in town, and heat pumps work harder because of it. Regular cleaning goes a long way out here. We come from Krugerville, about thirty minutes east. HMS Heating & Air Conditioning has been in business since 2015.
